Getting ready for summer

Summer is almost here and you only need to do two things to get your closet ready:

  1. Rotate. Move your cold weather clothes to the back of the closet and bring your summer items to the front. Do this with your tops, pants, dresses and yes even your shoes. You may even want to put your sweaters and warmer weather jackets away for a few months. The more simplified your closet is, the easier it is to get dressed. Reduce your options and choices and you’ll find your life is more peaceful and you’ll start your day off feeling very zen!

.

2. Get these 3 items for your closet:

#1 A travel steamer. I hate to iron and now I rarely do. You can buy a very inexpensive travel steamer and keep it right in your closet or bathroom to quickly zap away any wrinkles. This is especially key in the summer when you’re wearing linen, cotton and silk. This OGHom Steamer is excellent. It’s safe (I’ve owned one that was recalled), easy to use and ready to go in minutes. No more saying “I can’t wear that because it’s wrinkled” - you will wear more of you clothes look great! Click on the image below - currently on sale!

#2 A deodorant sponge. You’re wearing black, your running out the door and you notice your white deodorant streaks on your shirt. Not for worry! You don’t even have to take off your shirt. Simply get this little black sponge a little wet, rub it on the white marks and voila… you are all clean again.

#3 A robust lint brush. Pets are shedding and you’re wearing their fur. Get yourself a pack of lint brushes and place them in your closet, your junk drawer and even in your car glove compartment. Animal fur is not chic and it’s easy to get rid of!

That’s it!

As Ina Garten would say, “How easy is that?” Now get our there and enjoy summer - why not look and feel good doing it?
