Every season I like to add a few new core, foundational items to replace ones that have been well worn or no longer fit well or both. A new trench coat or white jeans for example. Then I add a few current items that bring a little joy and freshness to my wardrobe like a colorful dress, top or an accessory or shoe.

I am loving the delicate crochet, pointelle and smocking details that we’re seeing from designers this spring. This Chloe Crochet Striped Sweater is a great price from Saks Off 5th, and nearly all sizes are still available! I love it in Navy and Cream as well as the Pink and Cream.

L’AGENCE STRAIGHT LEG JEANS

I recently styled a client in these jeans and they looked absolutely perfect on her. The wash is bright and fresh and the leg opening is a wonderful straight, yet slim opening. I haven’t tried them on my (much curvier) body, but I just ordered them and will update when I do!

VERONICA BEARD SMOCKED TOP

This Veronica Beard Smocked Top is a great core essential. We all need white tops in our closet and this romantic, feminine silhouette is a sweet departure from a white t-shirt or button down. I love it with jeans, a utility pant or a trouser pant and heels to dress it up.

CHARINA SARTE DRESS

No words for this Charina Sarte Dress. The classic strapless silhouette combined with this original fabric is just so gorgeous!

CHLOE SMALL MARCIE

I’ve been eyeing this Chloe Marcie bag for over a year now. This is a mini version (about 6.5 x 7.5 inch) and you can visit Modsense and compare prices across a few different stores. Modesens is kind of like Hotels.com for fashion. You can even set alerts and get informed when something you love is available at a better price or different size across many retailers.

BANANA REPUBLIC UTILITY PANTS

These Banana Republic Slim Utility Pants are winners. They come in regular, tall and petite and both short and regular inseam lengths and several, great colors. I have the green olive color and I think I wore them for 3 days straight. I just ordered them in cream white as well.

BODEN STRIPED ESPADRILLE

These Classic flat Espadrilles are so joyful and a little different. There also come in a few other adorable patterns!

A.L.C DRESS

The perfect dress for a cocktail party or wedding this Spring and into Summer - this color is so flattering on so many skin tones too.

BODEN PONTELLE TEE

Wondering what to wear to a wedding? How can you not feel pretty in this pink Ribbed Pointelle Collard Tee? Although there are so many other colors it is hard to decide.

MAEVE COLETTE CROPPED PANTS

The Maeve Collette Cropped pants are incredibly comfortable and flattering. I have them in orange cotton as well as denim. They have just enough stretch and the wide leg feels very current and playful. The Colette Cropped in white denim is a great addition if you don’t have white jeans, or maybe want to swap out a pair that just aren’t working for you anymore.

SEZANE LISA BLOUSE

At the risk of giving away my trade secrets, I am sharing my new favorite clothing brand: Sezane. I just ordered several items for a client and they shipped quickly from France and the one item that I needed to return was a breeze to send back at no charge (not always the case with international shipping). The Sezane story is really cool too. There are way too many things I love to just pick one, but this Lisa blouse is such a pretty blue and the eyelet detail and scalloped sleeves are on the top of my list.
